| Subject: Aaron update 71 Date: Friday, February 14, 2003 1:00 PM From: Kevin Quick To: Aaron Update List Aaron surprised us by gaining 105 grams, so he’s now 2125 grams, or 4.68 pounds! Aaron had another “blue spell” this morning, while just sleeping in his crib. His nurse suggested that his apneas may just be part of a growth spurt, or maybe he was just having a big bowel movement this morning, or, who knows? Kathleen was witness to quite an event last night. As she held Aaron, a Rabbi was performing last rites (or something like that) for the baby in the isolette right next to her. The baby was one of 33-week twins. After quite a production of displaying of holy books, anointing with holy water (or something like that), the baby was extubated and after an hour or so, passed away in the nurse’s arms. I’ll be heading back to San Francisco in an hour or two. Have a good weekend, everyone. Kevin |
