| Subject: Aaron update 69 Date: Wednesday, February 12, 2003 12:29 PM From: Kevin Quick To: Aaron Update List Surprisingly, and happily, Aaron gained 50 grams yesterday, so he’s now at 2030 grams (2 kilos! or, 4.47 pounds). This, in spite of having to maintain his own body heat in the open crib, having limited bottle/gavage feeds, and being held almost all day yesterday. We’re hoping that the breast feeding is kicking in, and contributing the extra food that Aaron needs to continue growing. Kathleen said that Aaron has just been a joy for the past two days. He’s been breast feeding well, or at least trying his best. Kathleen said that Aaron has been very happy and peaceful, and she’s been spending a lot of “kangaroo” time with him. This is one well-loved boy! It’s hump day, it’s raining in California and freezing cold in New York. How about an Aaron burrito to warm up the day? Love, Kevin |
