| Subject: Aaron update 63 Date: Thursday, February 6, 2003 11:04 AM From: Kevin Quick To: Aaron Update List Kathleen just called me from “the pumping room” (yes, she’s still pumping faithfully every 3 hours, night and day). She had just breast fed Aaron for 1/2 hour, and he had done his best yet. After pumping, Kathleen will “kangaroo” with him for probably a couple of hours. This makes me a little jealous; I’m really missing Kathleen and Aaron today! Nurse Lisa is back, after being off for a week. She said that Aaron “looked giant” after having not seen him for the week. She’s gavage (tube) feeding him right now, so Kathleen can have maximum “kangaroo” time with him when she’s done pumping. Aaron gained another 30 grams yesterday. Also, his feeds have been increased again, from 33cc to 35cc. OK, we can’t go all week without another picture. Here’s one from last weekend. I think Aaron is telling us where his strength is coming from. Kevin |
