Subject: Aaron update 57 Date: Friday, January 31, 2003 11:53 AM From: Kevin Quick To: Aaron Update List I called and talked with nurse Jo. Aaron is fine and has gained another 30 grams, so he’s now at 1565 grams, or 3.44 pounds. Growing fast! He’s been off of CPAP (pronounced “SEEpap”) completely for the past two days; he’s now on the nasal cannula only. Jo said that she fed him a little bit by bottle this morning, but he spit some of it back up after he had eaten 10cc of his 26cc feeding, so she gave him the rest via gavage tube. Kathleen and the nurses will be working on the bottle and breast feeding over the next couple of weeks. Kathleen and I will be heading back to San Francisco this afternoon. The plan is for me to return home on Monday, while Kathleen stays in SF for the week. Have a good weekend, everyone. Kevin
