Aaron weighed in at 1300 grams this morning, or 2.86 pounds. He’s growing!

I spoke with Aaron’s doctor Kathy Lewis this morning. She has decided to have Aaron on nasal cannula for 1 hour every 3 hours now; he was on nasal cannula for 1/2 hour every 3 hours. He’s on CPAP for the other 2 hours. So, Aaron will be on the nasal cannula for 8 hours a day now. This is very good.

I asked Dr. Lewis how Aaron was doing in general, and she said, “He’s doing miraculously well.” What else can I say but “thank you,” each one of you, who has prayed for Aaron.

Here’s a picture that I took last night. Aaron had pulled out his feeding tube, so the nurse replaced the tube and the white tape that holds the tube in. Before she replaced the tube and the tape, I was able to get this picture. The brown stuff is a special soft tape that helps protect the baby’s skin from the less-gentle white tape.

Kathleen and I were able to hold Aaron for a total of 1 hour this morning. Hopefully, this “fix” will get us through the next few days at home.

Have a good MLK Day, everyone.

Love, Kevin, Kathleen & Aaron
