| Subject: Aaron update 33 Date: Tuesday, January 7, 2003 11:46 AM From: Kevin Quick To: Aaron Update List No big news today; Aaron continues on CPAP and his numbers are all good. They’ve added a second diuretic to his medications, to keep him from retaining too much water. Apparently, this is quite a common thing to do. He weighed in at 1070 grams this morning; 15 below yesterday, but again, we shouldn’t be looking at the daily numbers too closely; the weekly trend, which seems to be right on track, is more important. Aaron was off of CPAP entirely for 20 minutes this morning, while they replaced his g-tube (feeding tube), cleaned him up, etc. They just had some pure oxygen blowing in his face. Nurse Lisa said he did fine for the entire 20 minutes. We missed a good photo op, though! Oh well, there will be more to come, I’m sure. Kevin |
