Aaron weighed in at 1033 grams today; over 1 kilogram for the first time (a kilogram is 2.2 pounds). God willing, he should be growing at a good rate from here on out. Kathleen and I are beginning to relax a little bit. Aaron’s first month has passed without any major complications. Only three more to go before we can bring him home! Kathleen was put to work today, taking Aaron’s temperature and changing his diaper. She and nurse Lisa made some foot and hand prints for Kathleen’s scrapbook. Kathleen got to hold Aaron for the first time (still inside the isolette, however...see the attached photo), and she’s been talking about it ever since. She so badly wants to hold and cuddle her boy! We’ll get there! We’ll both be heading home tomorrow (Monday) for the week. Kathleen wants to spend a little time at home, getting some things done, while she has a chance. Once Aaron is able to be held, cuddled and eventually breast fed, Kathleen doesn’t expect to be able to spend much time at home. Our plan is to return to San Francisco on Friday.
