Aaron’s feeding on demand is going reasonably well, although he did lose 50 grams yesterday. Dr. Lee and nurse Lisa (yes, Lisa has followed Aaron over to TCN) aren’t too concerned about the weight loss. Lisa reiterated that Aaron has “a lot of fluff to work with.” If Aaron loses too much weight over the next day or two, his program will be modified, but for now, we’ll continue on our present course.

As I was writing the previous paragraph, Kathleen called again to pass along some good news that she just received from Lisa. Lisa said that Dr. Good, the eye doctor, just examined Aaron’s eyes a few minutes ago, and he said that there has been no progression in Aaron’s ROP, and if anything, his eyes look “a little better.” Kathleen also said that Lisa said, “It’s your God.” Thank you again, everyone who has prayed for Aaron’s eyes!

Kathleen is getting a little edgy; she’s turned a corner and now is really looking forward to bringing Aaron home. She said Aaron looks wonderful, the nurses are almost ignoring him because he’s doing so well, and she thinks Aaron is telling everyone that he’ll be ready very soon.

I have to leave home early tomorrow morning for our doctor/nurse/parents consultation, so tomorrow’s update will be a bit later than usual. I’ll try to squeeze it in though, but don’t panic if you don’t receive the next update until Saturday. Thanks!
