Aaron weighs 2280 grams today, or 5.02 pounds. We now have a 5 pounder!

He was moved to TCN yesterday. Kathleen was there for his move; she wheeled him down the hallway in his crib.

Things are being put into higher gear now for preparing Aaron to come home. Since, as Dr. Lee said this morning, Aaron does have “a little fluff,” they’re going to try on-demand feeding. So, rather than be on a regular schedule, with regular feed amounts, Aaron will try feeding now only when he’s hungry. They started that this morning, and so far, so good. They’re hoping that Aaron will get most of his feeds from the breast. If Aaron loses too much weight over the next 2 or 3 days, they’ll put him back on a regular feeding schedule.

Aaron’s oxygen requirements are lowering. Kathleen said he’s been in the mid-30 percent range, and was down to 29 percent when she went in to see him this morning.

We have a consultation scheduled with Dr. Lee and nurse Lisa for 2:30 Friday afternoon. So, I’ll have to get going a bit sooner than usual on Friday.

Next Monday, Kathleen will come home with me, to prepare the house for Aaron’s homecoming. We’ll return to SF together on Thursday. (So, we won’t have any need for a ride back to SF for Kathleen on Wednesday; you can ignore my message about this from yesterday.) Kathleen will then probably stay in SF until Aaron is ready to come home.

Thank you for your continued prayers. Please pray with us that all the I’s will be dotted and T’s crossed before Aaron comes home, and that he’ll be genuinely ready when we do bring him home.

Love, Kevin
