We have a couple of time-sensitive things that we want to pass along to you, but first...

We had a nice, simple Christmas (you can tell it was simple by our "Charlie Brown" Christmas tree, which you can see in the photo). It was very nice; our first Christmas with all four of us! We're starting to feel like a family.

Aaron's doing great. He runs all over the place now, and he's talking more; he probably has a vocabulary of about 50 words. His eating has not slowed down at all, even though he's now off the Reglan (hooray!). We tried the Cyproheptadine, but it made Aaron so dopey and "out of it" that we decided that it wasn't worth it; we'll leave it as something that we can try again later if we really need to. So, Aaron is now on no medication at all, and it feels great. We're on a natural course, and Aaron is still growing, slowly, and is right on track developmentally, as far as we can tell.

Robin is just the perfect little girl, as always, although she's been getting Kathleen up twice each night lately. She's been taking a few steps by herself, and she's beginning to say a few things, like "up!" when she wants to be picked up. Her first birthday is less than a month away, on Feb. 2.

Now the time-sensitive things...

I discovered this article this afternoon on the CNN web site. If you enjoy reading about preemies, you'll want to read this (if you want to see how Aaron fits in with the article, he was born at 24-weeks). I don't know how long this article will be on the Web, so you may want to read it soon:

Also, if you don't mind, please keep my (Kevin's) mom (in New York) in prayer for the next couple of weeks or so; she's quite sick with pneumonia. As Leslie, my sister-in-law said, "Please have the people who prayed for Aaron pray for Mom." Amen. If you know my mom, please don't call her quite yet, as she's not well enough to take phone calls. I'm sure she'd love some cards and letters, though. If you'd like her address, please let me know.

We hope you had a happy Christmas, and that your new year will be a very good one.

Love, Kevin, Kathleen, Aaron and Robin
