Well, the enthusiasm that we had two weeks ago has been dashed a little bit.

Aaron lost 1/4 pound last week, and didn't gain it back this week (he's at 13 pounds today). He seems to have lost his appetite again. We may have to bring his Reglan up to 4 doses per day again; we lowered his regimen to 3 doses per day 2 weeks ago, when he was eating well.

Emotionally, it's a little hard for us to want to put him back on the full regimen, because it's been nice seeing Reglan's unpleasant side effects lessening. This past week, Aaron's been happier than he's been since January, when we started him on the Reglan. He's been laughing for no reason other than that he's enjoying life, and he's been more sweet and gentle than he's been for the past couple of months. It's gladdened our hearts, having a little bit of our old Mr. Sunshine back.

His feeding, however, hasn't been too much fun. Kathleen especially is wearing out again, trying to get this kid to eat. He's just not hungry; it seems as though his stomach may not be emptying very quickly. He's been throwing up several times a day again, too.

We've decided this morning, though, that we'll give the 3 doses per day another week. Aaron has two new teeth coming in, so his teething may be making him somewhat less inclined to eat. Also, we just ordered two books that we hope might help us with the psychological battles involved:

If things don't pick up within a week or so, we'll go back to the 4 doses of Reglan per day.

Looks like this project may be going on for awhile!

We'll be seeing the gastroenterologist and the pulmonologist's team on April 14 and 15.

Robin is doing just fine. She's growing like a weed!
