Guess what? Awesome news to report today. Aaron's growing!

Five weeks ago (and 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 weeks ago) he weighed 12.25 pounds. Three weeks ago he weighed 12.5 pounds. Last week he was 12.75 pounds. This week, he's 13.25 pounds! So, he's not only growing, but his growth is accelerating! At February's average growth rate, he's now gaining a pound a month. This is by far the best growth that we've seen since we started keeping records last August.

His eating is following the same curve. Especially this past week, we've actually been meeting, and sometimes exceeding by a little bit, our goal of 120 calories per kg of body weight.

Is it the Reglan? Is it Robin? Is it Aaron's maturing digestive system? Is it Aaron's growing and healing lungs, which are able to provide more oxygen now, enabling him to metabolize more food? Is it all of our prayers? Is it God? We think it's all of these.

Eventually, we'd love to see some "catch up" growth of about two pounds per month, but for today, we're going to rejoice in February's one pound.

Aaron's been fairly cranky for the past few weeks; another sign that the Reglan may be kicking in. So, the gastroenterologist has given us the OK to reduce Aaron's Reglan from four doses per day to three. We reduced the Reglan about three days ago, and haven't seen any decrease in caloric intake since then.

Whew. We feel as though a big, heavy weight is beginning to lift off of our shoulders.

Robin is doing fine. Just normal, sweet, cute, cuddly baby stuff with her. (That's from my perspective, of course. I'm sure Kathleen would also add the doubling of baby care chores and responsibilities, the nighttime feedings, etc.!)

Thank you to my brother Brad and his wife Leslie in NY for the double stroller! It was their Christmas present to us. We took it out for its maiden voyage yesterday, and it worked great. The weather here in northern CA is getting nicer and warmer. Spring is around the corner! Things are beginning to grow!

Thank you, Lord, and thank you everyone who's been keeping Aaron in prayer.

Have a great weekend, everyone!

Love, Kevin, Kathleen, Aaron and Robin
