Wow, has a year really gone by since our last update? I guess it has!

Aaron had his 4th birthday on Monday. It's amazing how time flies.

All is well with Aaron. He's just growing into a bright, energetic, sweet little boy. We haven't had any medical issues in the past year. In fact, we haven't even been to any doctors in the past year except for routine flu shots, etc. If we had to point to any residual problems, we'd say that Aaron is mildly susceptible to throw-ups, but not really overly so. Maybe we just notice this more because of Aaron's history and because his sister Robin has never thrown up(!).

Aaron is still tiny. He weighed 20.8 pounds this morning. His 2.5-year-old sister Robin only weighs 22.6 pounds, though, so there's surely a genetic factor there, as well as the preemie factor. Both kids are vibrantly healthy, so we're not worrying about it. We expect that Aaron will catch up growth-wise eventually, maybe when he's a teenager. In the meantime, he's a unique little guy. (How many 20-pound kids can spell 20 or so words, count to 10 in Spanish, etc.?) We're CONSTANTLY being asked if he and Robin are twins.

We've just moved to a new house, about 7 miles from our old place, still in Kelseyville. Our 700 square foot caretaker's house was getting pretty small for the four of us; the kids are now LOVING having room to run and play in our new house.

We'll be traveling to New York for Christmas. This will be the first opportunity that Aaron and Robin will have to meet their extended family on the Quick side. It should be an adventure, with 17-hour trips each way. We're really looking forward to finally seeing everyone in NY.

We'll probably be absent from church until after Christmas, to keep the kids (and Kathleen and me) from catching colds before the trip. So we'll look forward to seeing many of you at church when we return.

Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year!

Love, Kevin, Kathleen, Aaron and Robin
