All is well. At this moment, Aaron is resting peacefully on my lap (Kathleen just took the attached picture).

I just completed a project that I’ve been working on for the past week or so, which I thought might interest you. Aaron’s story is on the Web! Check it out...

https://www.kevinquick.com/aaron/updates/introduction/index.html

For a URL that you can easily remember, you can just tell people to go to “kevinquick.com”. (Try going to kevinquick.com; you’ll see how easy it is to get to Aaron’s Story from there.)

You may want to take a look at the “Here’s Aaron” introduction page. There are two pictures on that page that you haven’t seen before, unless you’re my mom or dad. These are the earliest pictures of Aaron that we have.

Tonight, I just finished proofreading the entire story. As I went along, I X’d out phone numbers and corrected all the spelling and grammatical errors that I could find. If you find any that I’ve missed, let me know, and I’ll correct them. (I know my mom will still be able to find some. As I proofread the updates yesterday and today, I found a few that must have made my mom wince the first time around. Thanks, Mom, for resisting what must have been a very strong urge to point these out to me! Now, however, please feel free to point out any that you may find.) Also, if you find anything that you think should be removed (like your name, or, who knows?), please let me know.

I’ve only just begun to think about what to do to promote the web site, if anything. I do think Aaron’s story could be helpful and encouraging to a fair number of people, especially since 10% of all births are premature, and premature birth is the #1 cause of infant mortality. There must be a lot of worried parents of preemies out there!

When I have some spare time, I may search out other preemie sites and discussion boards and let them know that Aaron’s story is on line. If any of you would like to do this as well, by all means, please do!

Another thought that occurred to me recently was the idea of letting our local newspaper know about Aaron’s story. What do you think? Good idea? Bad idea? Would anyone like to spearhead this?

It was interesting for me over the past couple of days to read through Aaron’s story again, from beginning to end. Kathleen and I just stand in awe at how well Aaron has done from the very beginning, and we are very, very thankful that things have turned out as well as they have. We have been TRULY blessed. Also, it was interesting to notice the very marked decrease in the story’s intensity level as we transitioned from the NICU experience to the at home experience. Not that I’m complaining!

Again, thank you, everyone, for all the many key parts that you’ve played in this story. Now, hopefully, many others are going to be edified and enriched as a result of your prayers, words of encouragement, and acts of kindness.

Love, Kevin
