Aaron weighed in today at 2695 grams, or 5.94 lbs. One more ounce and we’ll have a 6-pounder! He’s 45cm long, or 17.7 inches.

Aaron is having his car seat test, in our car seat (at the TCN), as I write this. Normally, the car seat test lasts one hour, but we’re doing it for two hours; Aaron will have a 3-hour ride home on Wednesday. We just checked on him a few minutes ago; his two hours are almost up, and he’s doing great.

Kathleen and I visited with James’ mother Kerri this afternoon. James is doing fine; he weighs 4.5 pounds now. He just came off of CPAP, and is now on nasal cannula full time.

In a couple of hours, we’ll have our training on the heart rate/respiration monitor that Aaron will be using at home.

Today is Kathleen’s due date, so we’ll now begin to use Aaron’s “corrected age” (0 days today) for developmental assessments, in addition to his gestational age (40 weeks) and chronological age (16 weeks). Kathleen doesn’t particularly like numbers, and these three “ages” are going to drive her nuts, for sure!

Happy Saint Patrick’s Day, everyone! We’re still on track for Aaron’s release on Wednesday.

Love, Kevin & Kathleen
