It seems like a lot of us are kind of slugging through this winter with cold, dreary weather, leaky roofs, medical problems, legal problems, new and difficult jobs and war jitters, and could use a little lift today. So...

Aaron continues to do just fine. He’s still cruising on his all-nipple feeds, and actually gained 70 grams yesterday! He took 60cc by bottle this morning, so he is eating very well. His oxygen has been at 25% to 30% while sleeping, and 33% to 37% while feeding.

We’re working on getting our (very small) house in order for Aaron’s homecoming. Last night, I assembled two bassinettes (one for the living room and one for the “office,” which is also “Aaron’s room”), a Kick & Play bouncy seat, and a Diaper Genie. As I write this, Kathleen is going through the other baby shower gifts, and oohing, ahhing and ohing as she hangs up cute outfits, sorts blankets, flips through books, tries out toys, etc. THANK YOU again, everyone, for being so generous with all these gifts! We had had almost no baby things before the shower; now we’re ready to roll, and haven’t even needed to go shopping! Please be patient with us on our sending out “thank you” notes; we’ve got a couple of challenging weeks ahead of us. After Aaron comes home, we’re expecting things to calm down considerably... Yeah, right!

Last night Kathleen uploaded the latest pictures from her camera to her computer. Last week, while I was at home, she had taken a couple of pictures of Aaron with nothing on his face, not even the nasal cannula. I saw these pictures last night for the first time. I’ve attached one of those pictures to this update.

(Kathleen keeps distracting me as she reads notes attached to Aaron’s gifts, has me look at another cute outfit, etc...)

God’s grace be with you today... He’ll keep sustaining all of us!

Love, Kevin & Kathleen
