| Subject: Aaron update 62 Date: Wednesday, February 5, 2003 2:30 PM From: Kevin Quick To: Aaron Update List Four pounds!! Aaron weighed in this morning at 1831 grams, or 4.03 pounds. He’s been steadily gaining about 50 to 60 grams a day, or about 2 ounces a day. The doctor is thinking about upping his feeds yet again. Aaron was taken off of his last medication today. He had had a little trouble with acid reflux (stomach acid coming back up into his esophagus), and this medicine was to help that. Now, we’ll see how he does without the medication. Other than breast milk, the only thing that Aaron is taking now is a vitamin supplement. (He also gets his breathed-in lung medication several times a day, and he’s still on the nasal cannula, which supplies a little extra oxygen.) Patience, patience...just have to give that boy a few more weeks to grow. Kevin |
