| Subject: Aaron update 52 Date: Sunday, January 26, 2003 2:53 PM From: Kevin Quick To: Aaron Update List Today (Sunday) marks the beginning of Aaron’s 33rd gestational week. He’s on nasal cannula now all the time, except for a 1-hour “rest” on CPAP every 8 hours. Aaron’s still a week away from making a serious effort at breast feeding, but he did have a little “play time” today. Nurse Lisa worked with Kathleen on this. He seemed to enjoy “nippling,” (he alternated between sucking and smiling) and even got a little bit of milk. A week from now, Aaron will begin transitioning from tube feeding to breast feeding. After his play time, Aaron “kangarooed” with Kathleen (see the attached picture). Kathleen and I will both be heading home tomorrow for the week. We expect to head back to SF on Friday. Kevin |
