Subject: Aaron update 32 Date: Monday, January 6, 2003 9:16 AM From: Kevin Quick To: Aaron Update List Aaron is still doing well on CPAP. His blood gases were good again this morning. He weighed in at 1085 grams; 29 more than yesterday. According to Dr. Lee today, a good rate of weight gain at this stage is 15 to 20 grams per day. Aaron is on an antibiotic to fight some bacteria that was found on his breathing tube when he was extubated. This is a very common thing, and is not cause for much concern. Kathleen and I will both be heading home today for a couple of days. We plan on returning to SF on Thursday. Here’s our first picture of Aaron without his usual white tape mustache. He does still have some brown tape on his chin, though. That’s our boy! Kevin
