Hi family & friends,

Aaron continues to do well today.

They were unsuccessful again yesterday in putting in his “central line,” so they put a “deep line” into a vein in his head, instead. This isn’t quite a good as a central line, but is better than an IV in his hand or foot. They’ll try again for the central line in a few days.

My mom reminded me of the proper name for the incubator, which is “isolette.”

You can see the isolette in this photo. Aaron is 1 of about 20 babies in the NICU (newborn intensive care unit). He has the proud distinction of being the smallest and earliest-born (24-weeker) at this time. We have seen a couple of 25-weekers who’ve been there now for 8 weeks or so, and they’re doing well. This is encouraging to us.

Thanks for keeping all of us in your prayers.

Love, Kevin, Kathleen & Aaron
